Bio

Li Sibo,is a rising Chinese pianist and current Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in piano performance at the Manhattan School of Music. A nominee for the Washington International Young Artists Music Series (WIYAMS), he has gained international recognition for his refined artistry and dynamic performances. In 2025, Li appeared at Carnegie Hall in New York, performing Brahms’s Violin Sonata and Romberg’s Cello Sonata. His formal training includes studies with Dr. Zhe Li, Marc Silverman, and André-Michel Schub. Li’s performances have drawn acclaim from some of the most respected names in the international piano community. Sibo Li is a laureate of numerous international piano competitions, including the Bronze Medal at the 2nd Little Golden Bell International Piano Competition, First Prize at the 19th Hong Kong-Asia Piano Competition, First Prize at the Marconi European International Piano Competition in Italy, dual First Prizes in both the solo and concerto categories of the “Luyi Cup” Piano Competition, and Second Prize at the New York International Piano Competition. His musical journey has brought him to major stages and events around the world, including the New York International Music Exchange Conference and the New York Art Festival. As a chamber musician, he was invited to the Hunter International Festival, where he collaborated with Peter Winograd in performances of Brahms’s Violin Sonatas. He has also performed at national teaching seminars hosted by the Xi’an Conservatory of Music and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and served as a jury member for the International Chopin Piano Competition for Children.
